I wouldn't worry. Her followup single "You're fairly narcissistic" didn't do anywhere near as well and the next one "You're quite self involved" didn't even chart.

IMO there's no way the song is about one single person. It's about all the self-centered people who think everything is about them.

At least one verse was written about Warren Beatty, as Carly Simon revealed in 2003. The funny part is that after the release of the song, Warren Beatty called her to thank her for writing a song about him.
