This is not true. Other species such as elephants, dolphins, and chimpanzees are known to have emotional responses to the death of other animals, including members of their own species. In some cases, they have even been observed to try and help the deceased animal..

True True, but I don't mean that they don't have the basic sympathy to be sad when a member of another species dies I mean that we are the only spices who can comprehend as well as check if another spices goes completely extinct and thereby can mourn for the loss of not only a individual, but the lost potential of a spices as a whole Am I making myself clear enough or should I explain it differently

Then I agree with you! Humans are also the only species that can recognize how their actions can contribute to the extinction of another species. Humans are the only species that can take steps to prevent a species from going extinct, and can use their knowledge and power to create a better future for all species.

we don't realise most of the species that go extinct and we usually just care for big animals, sometimes just big mamals, what differentiates us from a colony of any with a mushroom farm that went sick to the point of extinction, those ant would mourn more, or at least be more sad for the disparition of this species and we would probably not even realise
