Have you considered that you may be part mushroom?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That house is going to stink

by Anonymous 1 year ago

this is how you get mold

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If they shouldn't, they wouldn't. But people want windows so they do and should

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Building code requires windows for bedrooms and at least one per floor.

F**k building codes /s

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I guess you're one of those people who would prefer to die in a fire vs jumping or climbing out of a window.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Why?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Well, that's certainly unpopular. Tell me you live in a terrible and unsafe area without telling me you live in a terrible and unsafe area.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I actually live in a nice area, and have my entire life.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Then why are you so worried about burglary, peeping toms and paying your heating bill?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Because burglary, peeping toms, and high energy bills can still happen in nice areas?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This might be the dumbest one yet.

A lot of people can live quite comfortably without home cooling systems simply by opening their windows in the warm months. OP swung and missed.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

> A lot of people can live quite comfortably without home cooling systems simply by opening their windows in the warm months. That doesn't help in the middle east and south asia where average day temperatures are above 35 deg C for most of the year.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

So what is your point? That we shouldn't have windows because some people live where it is hot?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Please do tell where did I imply any of that??

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Well what was your point? I don't see what knowing that people in hot climates can't cool their houses with windows adds to this convo?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

that sounds miserable

by Anonymous 1 year ago

How's your house gonna breath, when you cook and there's no window in the kitchen your whole house will smell like food, not to mention all the heat that'll be gathered up in your house will turn into water dripping down your walls

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You're an idiot this isn't an unpopular opinion, this is an idiot not understanding how windows work. Glass is actually good at insulating heat you lose heat from poorly maintained seals around the windows. Windows account for between 10 to 25 percent of total heat loss. Having natural light also allows you to help heat your home with the sun, even in the winter. Then windows also help with cooling in the summer. Then you need to have a fire escape and building those is way easier than making everything fire isolated like you suggest. This is either a troll or op is an idiot that doesn't understand engineering.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think he's an idiot troll

by Anonymous 1 year ago

>Glass is easy to break Where I live, all windows have mental doors, so that's not an issue. It keeps the house cold. I don't like air conditioning - it saves money as well.I clean my house daily anyway, so dust is not an issue for me.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

get a curtain and people cant see in???

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That doesn't fix the heat or burglary issues.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The only ones who would agree are vampires and they aren't real.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Not everyone is Ron Swanson, some people legitimately don't care about their privacy that much.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Where would I put my window air conditioner units?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Ahahaha... summer weather where I live with no windows to put fans in? No thanks! :)

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No windows = me going stir crazy. So in my case, I need them.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Nice way to get seasonal affective disorder in your own home. That and your pets will try to kill themselves to relieve the boredom.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

How old and educated are you?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

19, in my second year of university

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This is certainly a different opinion. Entirely wrong, totally nuts and would be banned under the Geneva convention but you are definitely in the right place.
