> 1) immediately reprimanding any driver who hits someone Oh, well, that makes it okay then. > what activities can young people partake in without a little bit of noise? A "little" noise? When most people are trying to sleep? You don't think that's inconsiderate at all? > weapons or drugs at these events, but what large gathering of teenagers doesn't include these? Lots. Lots of people don't do that.

Why not use parking lots?

If it would work, I don't see why not!

I don't think it would work because part of the thrill is shutting down the public intersection in the face of the public

I'd love to see something like this, it's the epitome of culture as much as a lot of people will vehemently disagree

It literally is! Lol

I would perhaps argue its better to move it to a controlled area, though. Went to South Africa recently and got taken to the legal drag races - they're set up at a motordrome in order to encourage people not to do them in the street. Much safer, not only from the car perspective but also less fights.

I agree. The parking lots of the Oakland coliseum would be perfect for this. However there isn't a damn insurance company on this earth that would cover those events for the city lmao
