This is kind of how it always goes. Lots of good stuff doesnt get played on the radio. Then after 30 years, its mostly forgotten. Look at classic rock stations. 2 AC/DC songs every hour, some commercials, 1 other band, some talk.
I mean the whole point of being "indie" means you aren't being played or bought by the corporate media right? So you want them to sellout and get more rated?
If there's anything I've learned about the average indie fan is that the main reason they enjoy indie is because they can say it's underrated or unheard of
Hard rock and metal for me. Hell I rather listen to buttrock like Nickelback,kid rock, Creed,theory of a Deadman than indie / indie rock there are a thousand alternatives genres before I would even consider listen to Indie / indie rock
Why so? Indie rock is such a bland blanket term. I'm sure you'd find amazing indie bands that are on the heavier side. Seems indie music just gets crossed into hipster stuff
