I was looking today to see what happens to syrup, as in breakfast syrup, after its expiration date. I got all sorts of answers about maple syrup. Okay, fine, -maple. Then got all sorts for chocolate syrup, and one of those 'people also ask' was 'is it okay to use out of date syrup'. The answer to that question was about ...date syrup. Not regular syrup, not chocolate syrup, but date syrup. It can be really helpful, but sometimes trying to find answers to questions... nope. Yesterday I was trying to find an Agatha christie adaptation based on what someone said. Got all sorts of results about Agatha Christies' actual disappearance. never did find the answer to the question. Fortunately the person who mentioned it did tell me the title. I would never have found it through google.

So what you do is you use quotation marks. "Doing so" will make it so the search must find that phrase in quotes thus giving you more accurate searches

Everything is fake, the world is a lie. Use bing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I've heard people favor towards using Bing. Is it really that much better than Google?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I don't know, Google works just fine for me.

Bing is only worse than Siri

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I just binged it and bing said that bing was the best.

I just type the question and press enter. That way, I get facts and not just random opinions. 🤷🏼‍♀️

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Not always facts tho. I've been studying German beer steins lately and all the google searches tell me one fact, but watching YouTube videos of experts are all debunking those. Be careful out there

Seems more like you have no clue on how (or what) to search on Google rather than anything else. If you actually type in a whole ass question obviously you wont get the answer you were looking for. You have to think more general and to the point, or specify you question by using quotation marks in the search bar.

If you think for a second google was created to be anything but a marketing machine you are super naive

Glad I'm not alone in that case.
