+131 Standing up in the isle after the plane has landed is better and makes more sense than sitting down, amirite?

The people who immediately stand up even tho it's gonna be another 10 minutes before they can get off the plane are the same people who haul ass to red lights and slowly creep forward the entire time they're sitting at a red light. And the same people who ride people's asses in bumper to bumper traffic when there's nowhere to go as if somehow being six inches behind you is gonna get them there faster than being 10 feet behind you.

I stand up in the aisle but don't tailgate :(

Clogging the aisle is the absolute best way to slow down the deplaning process. I was utterly amazed at how fast the process worked during the peak of COVID when everybody obeyed the flight crew and only stood up when given permission to.

I experienced it too during covid and it was not at all faster. Just more organized because people were going in order. I'm honestly not a fan of the row by row system we have at all.

I mean, I stand up and stretch a little bit I usually sit back down and wait for people who are in a hurry to leave before I get off.

I've never encountered situations where people who are in a hurry can get off first. In my experience it always goes row by row and the people who have been sitting and haven't taken out their luggage hold up the line when the gates open. I'd love it if we could get off seat by seat instead - aisle seats first, then middle seats, then window seats. But people with families can't figure out how to not lose each other I guess so that will never happen.
