+155 We shouldn't be ashamed of pirating movies - streaming services should just give better reasons not to do it, amirite?

I'm not ashamed of doing it... I just don't brag about doing it....

I don't feel ashamed about any of my piracy. My entertainment and comfort is more important to me than anyone else's profits.

piracy is a service problem

Point is not changing mind of pirate, but rather to make it weaker alternative

Seriously, what is better than downloading it for free at high speed with no consequences?

Convenience typically, as well as security. For example PC games, I *could* pirate everything but I know when I buy a game from steam it isn't going to come with some dodgy file containing a virus, far less risky, as well as meaning I don't have to track down some weird site hosting the game.

I used to pirate games as a kid because i had no choice i would not be able to afford to play the games anytime soon so it was like pirate or don't get to play it at all. But i would not pirate now since i don't have to wait a long time till my birthday or Christmas to afford games.

The benefit is you support the show/movie and allow them to produce more in the future. Pirating is illegal and immoral simple as that.

This argument is the same as what if some stranger came to your home without you knowing, watched a movie on your TV, left your house without stealing anything
