Braces are expensive and take a long (painful) time to get results. Whitening your teeth can damage them, and is purely cosmetic. Veneers let people experience straighter, whiter teeth without damaging their teeth or going through the pain and years of orthodontia. If that's what they want, what's wrong with that?

Veneers are super expensive though. Implants are cheaper and usually people only get 1 or 2 because veneers can cost 35k-50k+ and aren't covered by insurance most of the time bc it's considered cosmetic.

Braces are considered cosmetic most of the time too, and usually aren't covered. You can get veneers starting at $15,000ish, so if someone doesn't want braces or permanent work done on their teeth, then it's an option.

This isn't true. Braces can be deemed dentally necessary to improve the overall quality of life for the patient.

"Without damaging their teeth"……. To put veneers on you literally have to have your teeth shaved down.

There are veneers that require no grinding or shaving of the patient's teeth. Not all dentists offer it, and not all patients qualify for it, but that applies to all procedures.

Perhaps there are…. It certainly is very uncommon if there is. But either way I can't think of a way you can possibly adhere a veneer of any kind to your tooth without ‘damaging' the natural tooth. It is also referred to as ‘reshaping', as I am not referring to just the viral images many people think is needed for all veneers. Maybe you just have a very unique definition of ‘damage.'
