Stupid concept: "It takes two to tango"... amirite?
by Anonymous2 years ago
You misunderstood the meaning entirely. It is only applicable in some situations, for example when 2 people have consensual sex and the girl becomes pregnant. Or a long , drawn out fight with either words or fists. If only one person is shouting and saying bad/hurtful things or beating the other one, it isn't a fight.

"It takes two to tango" is an invitation not to engage with someone else in conflict. Regardless of right or wrong.

Just because an aphorism doesn't universally apply doesn't make it stupid, just not universal.

No one says that

I believe it usually refers to sex. Like if someone gets knocked up

make sure to get someone you really like to dance the tango with, otherwise you'll be forced to like the inevitable terrible tango
