Elaborate lol. Are you saying that it's not a social norm, or are you saying something completely different? Nope pretty sure my birth certificate says I'm 23. I was born in June of 1999, that would make me 23

I am saying a. it's not a social norm. and b. Actual 23 year olds, with cars, careers, wages, apartments, and for example who've been to an engineering degree, graduated a year ago at 22, and are busy enjoying life, meeting their significant other, planning their future, etc. don't give a crap about skipping, because c. only 12 year olds do. and by extension d. you're a 12 year old

There is nothing wrong with not knowing how to do anything you never got into. Someone didn't know how to play video games because they had no interest when younger? If they cared at all they'd be playing by now.

I was never taught to skip i just did it, it's not something that is taught, because it's not really a skill, kids just tend to do it. this is coming from me who couldn't do actual things that requre skill as a child.
