+138 Plugging In A USB Correctly The First Time Is Easy, amirite?

You're taking the meme, and remember it is a meme, too seriously. It's just people having fun by exaggerating a very minor problem that's so small people take no care in doing anything about.

Due to your flair I will not be interacting with you today.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

You just did.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

That hardly counts as an interaction, no?

by Anonymous 2 years ago

You did it twice!

by Anonymous 2 years ago

It's in my butt did I do it wrong

Did you hear the usb connected sound? Make sure you have system sounds enabled

Largely agree with you, but the ports are not always oriented the same way, the USB standard does not define how to orient the port. Sometimes they are vertical, sometimes the port is facing the other way than you described. But then again nothing beats jamming in a USB a few times hoping it works.

most of the time bending over backwards to see the port is not worth it vs trying twice

Grounding prong? That has nothing to do with USB plugs.

I think Op just means they look before plugging them in. Like voyeurs and their watching kinks.

It's an example of what I've already looked for when determining how to hold something when plugging something in.

Have you considered going to a lab to get tested? If you can plug it in the right way first try every time, you might have some sort of super power. If they can confirm and isolate the gene that causes it, your DNA might be useful for the the next step of human evolution.

by Anonymous 2 years ago

That might be the *only* way Op's DNA spreads.

That's just not how you're supposed to use the usb sticks. You're supposed to try plug them it -> no chance, turn them 180° -> no chance, turn again 180° to the starting position -> perfect and easy fit. That's the only way, everything else is just a lie
