It isn't a hobby, I do't cook for fun I cook because I have to eat. If you cook for one then buying food can be cheaper but for a family of three or four cooking is a lot cheaper.

As I have said before, you can have any 3 of affordable, flavourful, convenient, and healthy. The vast majority of restaurant and manufactured food is affordable, flavourful, and convenient; meaning it isn't good for you.

As someone who loves to cook, this is so true

>buying food is cheaper than ever What? Has OP not noticed the bs with inflation the past few years?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Or even just companies raising prices because they have an excuse, like the egg industry?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Eh, considering the mass euthanizations due to avian influenza i wouldn't call the raising price of eggs unjustified

What if I don't like freezer read made food? I like making my own pizza.

Pre made food cheaper? Huh? Free time doing nothing vs making meals. Unpopular indeed.

It's not only about the cooking but about having some control over the ingredients. I know for myself when I buy premade food I balloon up like a whale.

Not wanting to cook does not make you incompetent... That is correct. However, not knowing how to cook DOES make you incompetent. If you know how to cook, you can make balanced meals in 15 minutes, which is faster than having it delivered. And if you can't do that, then I regret to inform you that you don't know how to cook.

This opinion is totally popular in America. Just look at their waist-lines and general health for proof.

You do realize it's possible to not cook and be healthy and be a healthy body weight right? Because in America being fat is a product of overindulgence not choosing to not cook

A pot of pasta takes 15 mins to cook from scratch and it's piss easy, restaurant quality. You can make a big batch which means you can eat it over the course of 3-4 days. The worst part of cooking is the washing up.

Cooking is a pain in the ass until you make it into a daily routine and have a system. Then it only takes a couple minutes to prepare a meal and clean up after yourself.

I hate cooking. I usually have also no time for it because of my working schedule. And I lie to ppl, that I cannot cook so potential dates( I avoid dating) leave me alone.
