Interpersonal communication is vastly more complicated than encoding a message, sending radio waves, receiving radio waves, and decoding a message.

In person I can understand what the person meant like 90% of time. Over technologies like 60%. Group chats are the worst on this, because you don't know if you are the one meant to understand the message. I just met with few friends and not one of us was capable of understanding a text from our discord send by a person who wasn't there.

I always look at how combatitive online communication goes vs in-person communication. It's so easy to write something in one tone of voice, only for it to be read in a completely different one.
