So what you're saying is that in a competitive capitalistic environment prices can fall and favor the consumer? Amazing!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Temporarily yes. But only at a loss to companies who can afford to do it, again temporarily, until all competition is eliminated and then they can raise prices as much as they want because people can't simply refuse to buy insulin. The free market balance of natural self regulation doesn't exist when it comes to essential goods.

Capitalism has no morals.

Communism and socialism are objectively worse. Don't vuvuzela ifone your way around it.

Just because I pointed out one flaw of capitalism doesn't mean I support communism 🤦

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I don't think they sell insulin there

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Or maybe they are reacting to public pressure to lower their prices?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Public pressure has been there for years. Announcement was today.

What op is talking about id fairly standard practice in business. They're probably correct

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That's a fallacy that doesn't work.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

wow, didnt think about this. good point.

It's called capitalism dude; competition in the market is a good thing. Increased availability and in this case competitive prices.

Mark Cuban is no saint and I don't trust any entrepreneurs to do things in the benefit of the consumer. If people pay slightly less it's only because a corner is being cut somewhere else or a person is being exploited
