It is a bit of a meta joke, the reason it is funny is BECAUSE it is forcing humor. The boom sound is quite literally the funny thing, while the laugh track is not

Not sure what this vine boom is but any show that requires a laugh track isn't actually funny. In some cases the laugh track laugh's at very serous moments in a character's life. Serous as far as tv shows go.
