+161 Existing in a space where other people are unaware of your presence is cathartic, amirite?

I know what you mean. The other day I was having my lunch in the corner of a building that's... not really *hidden* but there would be no reason for anyone to be there. I watched a bunch of people walk right past me and not one of them even looked in my direction. It was kinda cool. I felt like a jungle cat watching my prey ha ha

You know exactly what I mean then

Like under the stairs at the mall

by Anonymous 2 years ago

Yeah exactly. When I was a kid I would climb into bushes and stuff at parks and just hang out for hours. It's like people watching almost, but you're not really looking for or at anyone. You hear passing conversations and you're in someone elses world for a brief moment, then they're gone

i'm not sure this is an "unpopular opinion"

You may be right. I suspect that it is somewhere between popular and unpopular. Just an opinion.

So you like people watching

The aspect of it that I enjoy has more to do with being unseen. Feeling stealthy almost. The people themselves are secondary

I've always had this weird fantasy about being a ghost that just hangs out somewhere observing people going on about their business
