When watching movies or tv, the suspension of disbelief works better when you're not just accepting what you see blindly. If you actively engage in finding ways to see how something could be true, you'll enjoy the experience more. amirite?

Does it make sense in universe? Then okay

My wife and I do this all the time! Especially while watching cartoons, we just take everything we're seeing at face value and just wildly speculate about stuff going on behind the scenes that justifies everything we're seeing in the show! It's a lot of fun!

The fact that you're sitting there asking those questions is what takes people out of it.

I agree, it's important to give movies and TV shows the benefit of the doubt and suspend your disbelief as much as possible.
