So, we should care just a little bit?

Yep, only to the extent which meets your tribal needs, your family, friends, and the ones with power over you(like your boss for instance) are the ones who have the biggest impacts on your life, so you will need to care about what they think to an extent, but beyond that, then we can say "don't care what others think"

The problems are: 1. You don't really know who will be in position of power over you in the future. 2. Opinion of someone who is not in pisition of power or in relationship to you can still affect those who are relevant to you. This is basically what the broad term "reputation" is about.

There is also a degree of luck and timing that plays into this but ultimately it's not worth worrying about bc we have no control over it I could name about a million "what if" scenarios, but truth is we can only prepare for the most likely ones

This sounds like an incoherent Joe Rogan rambling lmao

I'm so tired of seeing society degrade into a bunch of hedonistic chimpanzees. It's almost enough to make me want to seek Jesus.
