Being proud to be an American feels weird, amirite?
by Anonymous2 years ago
I'm proud to be an American, where atleast I have A/C.
by Anonymous2 years ago
True, but at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died that gave that right to me.

Lmao

COME ON AND STAND UP!
by Anonymous2 years ago
(shots of refurbishing the statue of Liberty) "next to you and defend her still todaaaaaay......."
by Anonymous2 years ago
You're not really free, in this capitalist society you need money to be "free".
by Anonymous2 years ago
Maybe so, but there ain't no doubt I love this land
by Anonymous2 years ago
there are about 50 other countries that are also "free", just fyi.
by Anonymous2 years ago
And I'd proudly stand up next to them
by Anonymous2 years ago
Try rocking the boat. We will see about this freedom you mention.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Hey now, the flag still stands for freedom. And they can't take that away.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Being proud of the circumstances of your birth that you had no control over is weird
by Anonymous2 years ago
You should take a fun filled vacay to Afghanistan, your chest will swell with pride if you make it back.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Maybe that's what soldiers are really proud of? Their ability to survive war? I would definitely be proud of myself if I survived Afghanistan and made it back.
by Anonymous2 years ago
There's lot of pride associated with coming back from War. My point is go immerse yourself in true deprivation and your perspective will change.
by Anonymous2 years ago
I'm from Mississippi and I used to live in Mexico. I've lived in deprivation my entire life. A little less in Mississippi, but Mexico for damn sure. I'm not sure the argument that "there are places that are worse" is what is going to make me feel pride.
by Anonymous2 years ago
So you're proud that your life is easy compared to people living elsewhere? That's weird. I would be more proud if I lived somewhere that was harder to survive. At least then my continued existence is reason to be proud.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Go try it, then get back with me.
by Anonymous2 years ago
No you can keep being proud of something you had no control over because you have no real accomplishments. I'll keep being proud of things I've actually done
by Anonymous2 years ago
It's Sad you don't have appreciation for the freedoms and standard of living that were earned for you by others.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Over and out
by Anonymous2 years ago
So maybe you don't have a dictionary handy, but pride and appreciation mean different things. Not that I'd expect you flag humpers to have a particularly advanced grasp of the English language.

bigot

Snowflake
by Anonymous2 years ago
How'd Afghanistan end up that way? Going to Afghanistan would do the exact opposite of making me swell with pride for America.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Try it out, You'll fall to your knees and kiss the intolerable streets you walk, if you make it back.
by Anonymous2 years ago
You kiss a lot of streets, huh?
by Anonymous2 years ago
Seeing how we destroyed Afghanistan would fill me with rage for this country. You literally couldn't have chosen a worse example than Afghanistan.
by Anonymous2 years ago
I wish I could speak with you further on this but you have no perspective, go there then we'll talk. Peace
by Anonymous2 years ago
It's hell on earth. It's like that BECAUSE of my country.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Pride is a narcissistic emotion. Doesn't matter if your proud to be an American, proud to be LGBT, or proud of something you accomplished. You ignore everything and everyone you stood on to get where you are.
by Anonymous2 years ago
I think I agree for the most part.
by Anonymous2 years ago
User name checks out .
by Anonymous2 years ago
The GOP stole the country from everyone else. They literally think liberals are un-american. Now even the american flag looks gross to me. They stole it from us by making it theirs alone.
by Anonymous2 years ago
Agreed. I'm proud of things that I've accomplished, not things I have no control over.
by Anonymous2 years ago
I thank Grateful is a much better term to use if you are glad you were born into something
