+140 Professional cyclists ride more in competition hours during 1 event than professional runners run in their whole career, amirite?

competitive runner here: lets say you start running at age 11 and retire at age 40. let's take a rather conservateive estimate of 50 miles per week from 11-18 and 90 miles per week from 19-40. (an average professional distance runner will run 100-130 miles per week as an adult). this is a career mileage of 123760 miles. if you assume that the average pace per mile is 5:30 (realistically it's probably closer to 6 minutes), then that is 11,251 hours, or a bit over 15 months. I'm curious now, what cycling event lasts over a year?
