+152 Minivans are better than pickup trucks. amirite?

I think it ultimately comes down to personal preference and needs. For some people, a pickup truck may be the better choice if they need to tow heavy loads or go off-roading. However, for those who prioritize passenger and storage capacity, a minivan may be the more practical option. It's all about what fits your specific lifestyle and needs.

I think climate is a factor in this. I live in the UK, so having storage space that is exposed to the elements is just not practical most of the time. I've gone one step further than you though, my daily driver is a transit connect, so I don't even have the back seats, just the extra storage space. It's incredibly rare it needs to be more than just me and my girlfriend in the vehicle, and we were just using the backseats for storage anyway, so why not just have a van? With the upside we put a bed in the back for surf trips

Minivans are referred to as "multi-purpose vehicles" (MPVs) in other nations. Some minivans in the U.S. have also been marketed as such: the (discontinued) Mazda MPV and the Kia Carnival MPV.

Buying a car to impress people is one of the most pathetic things an adult can do.

Are girls queuing up for guy's with pickup trucks? Guys care way more about what other guy's drive than girl's do.

Depends on what you want space for. Minivans have more internal cargo space for seating and luggage. The fact that the bed of a truck has no cover is what makes them so go for carrying things that are bulky or oddly shaped. If I needed to move a full sized refrigerator I'd rather have a truck and if I was going on a road trip I'd rather have a minivan, they have 2 different uses.

If you are a contractor or plan on hauling anything more than 1000lbs payload, get a truck. Trucks are built for handling weight. If you need to make a Costco run once a month then minivan. I daily a pickup and i constantly have stuff in the bed. Mini vans a hood for hauling people, trucks are good for hauling junk

You can't fill a minivan with mulch or rocks or sheetrock, etc...

Im a huge fan of minivans, I think they are better than SUVs in every way. I due however think trucks and minivans fill different roles. trucks are better at towing, and because of their bed have less hard limits on height and length of cargo. Minivans are better for carrying more people, but are versatile in that they can put massive amounts of cargo as well

We (family of 6) had a minivan for over a decade. If we ever made a long trip, we had to use a trailer for our luggage. 5 years ago, we got a crew cab truck. What an upgrade. Everything can just be thrown in the bed. Not to mention picking up animal feed, lumber, appliances, ect.

If the bed is less than 8 foot the truck is just a "Ute ". You will observe work trucks still have 8' beds.

Van with a utility trailer is the best. Then you can haul dirty stuff too.
