In my opinion only the currywurst in berlin is bad. In north rhine-westphalia, especally the "Ruhrpott" are the bests.

You could look up recipes and make it at home? I don't know where you're located but there might be a traditional-ish German restaurant near you.

I have only had it in a German market in the UK but it was an odd experience. I was expecting a normal hot dog but covered in curry (powder or sauce idk) but it came chopped up in a cheap curry sauce, the kind you get in a chip shop or Chinese, with a bun just on the side. I had to eat it with a fork and kind of dip this dry roll in the sauce.
