I've been helping my mum with translations since I was 14 and sometimes tutored for some extra money. I guess I must have been a kid genius if I could do the hardest jobs at that age

Every opinion is stupid if people choose to simplify them to fit their views. Difficult in this context is intellectual difficulty, not the physical 'my job can kill me' type of difficulty.
