I'm not a fan either . I will eat fries with a sauce in a smaller bowl/container next to it , but loaded just doesn't do it for me at all.

Potatoe wedges are the solution to your soggy fries. Also, you can make fondue instead of melting the cheese on the fries themselves.

I agree that it's basically a stupid thing to do. I never understood why so many people here put the mayo/ketchup directly onto the fries instead of putting it next to them

In my opinion it's a better fry to ketchup ratio as well as better condiment spread. I can dip my fry into a dipping container, but then it's just a blob of ketchup on the end; way too much for the amount of fry it is covering. You can put more of the fry in your mouth but you still have to get past all that ketchup hitting your tongue at once. You might as well just put the ketchup on a spoon.
