Honestly I wish I could buy books printed that way as the white pages mess with my eyes. I can only imagine how much it would cost though. Not to mention the amount of ink.

Darker paper can exist, it doesn't have to use ink and it can have a nature-friendly process to make it. I can imagine though that the process can take longer and therefore cost more

My parents actually hate dark theme because they see majority of the screen turning into darkness and thus, the illusion of invisibility
