+152 Fashion hasn't changed since the 90's. amirite?

This is a phenomenon that's been written about. There's a theory that it has to do with how rapidly technology has evolved since the 90s. People were busy keeping up with technology and not fashion.

We peaked as a species in the 90s. Bring back fun colorful McDonlds lol

Were you alive in the 90s? Cause fashion is very very different now.

I agree. To date, the decades of the 2000s have not been distinctly different from each other in terms of fashions and styles of the general population. Think about the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s and a distinct look and style will easily come to mind.

I don't know much about fashion trends, but I never met a girl in the 90s with one of those middle of the nose rings, and it seems like all the sudden they are everywhere.

That's funny. I think I may have seen that more in the 90s than now.

I mean late 00s and early 10s everyone was wearing black skinny jeans and the non lace vans. Flat caps were also super popular. Even the most gangster rappers were wearing this. None of these things are around now or were around in the 90s.

I don't think this is true whatsoever. In the 90s big tee-shirts, big baggy jeans, big suits with shoulder pads for women. Now everything is alot more sleek and tapered. Everything is formfitting. People were yoga pants just walking around and it looks normal. Even things like hoodies are a lot slimmer and less baggy. Yes, people are still wearing the same kinds of clothes (jeans, tee-shirts, hoodies, etc) but they're tailored very differently. And if you want to say that wearing jeans, hoodies, and tee-shirts is somehow exclusive to the 90s and 2000s then I'd say that's extremely wrong as that's a look that has been popular since at least the 70s.

Face tattoos and livestock nose piercings were not a thing in the 90's, unless you were an Indonesian cannibal

I guess we live in different places.

Maybe you lived on a farm. That would make perfect sense

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It prolly has something to do with a lot of us being poor

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Don't forget the sagging pants on some people

by Anonymous 1 year ago

OP is forgetting "yoga pants" on girls?

A national dress? Ah yes, because we're the only country to wear jeans. 😂

If it's still shirts, pants/shorts, socks, shoes & undies, then there's no need to change it.
