+135 Ladies: perfume should be used sparingly! amirite?

Dudes are guilty of this too

I've seen more dudes than girls guilty of this.

that's not really unpopular.

Not unpopular. Literally the first rule of perfume application. Also, who wears perfume these days? I rarely encounter it anymore.

Strong disagree. I feel like perfume should tell a lot about the person wearing it. For instance, I am a very confident, loud, eccentric woman, so I'm looking for a scent that will show that. I can't wear an intimate, inoffensive perfume, it's not my style and not my personality. I can see a quiet, sweet, classy woman wearing a soft scent, but that's definitely not me. People should choose a scent based on their fashion style and overall personality.

It tells me that you're inconsiderate of other people. What smells good to you might be annoying to others. You're just rude.

Lol by that logic you shouldn't do anything. I don't like how you're dressed, it's annoying to me, you're being rude! It's no one's business what I do with my body.

Strong scents can induce migraines and make people physically sick. In some cases, people can physically remove themsleves from you but those poor unfortunate souls could be stuck with you on a flight or in a meeting, for example. The clothes you choose to wear don't make people physically sick bleed out from their eyes (I hope). So, if they don't like it, they can choose not to look at you. Meanwhile, having to smell you is involuntary in confined spaces and people need to breathe in to stay alive.

God the stick up your ass is so big, it's poking your uvula. They meant stronger scents, not dousing themselves in it to the point of being inconsiderate. There's a difference between favoring a spicy amber scent over a mild vanilla and being inconsiderate to others.

Using strong scents and using way too much are two different things. Strong scents are good, using way too much just tells me you have no idea how to use scents.

I get it. Perfume has to match the person's personality, makes total sense. But loud people are even more annoying than just too strongly scented people so...

Anytime you're about to gag because of perfume, realize they're trying to hide some stench. Sometimes that is some cooter funk.

I don't think it's possible to smell someone's perfume 2 aisles over. If you've left the room and I can smell you, it's not too much to me. Also, some perfumes are stronger than others so it's hard to tell how much to use.

I don't think this is an unpopular take. Btw, I hate it too when perfumes are too strong
