That's wonderful! I'm glad you're doing well and you can be optimistic

I miss having that optimistic outlook. I'm glad you're back on your feet though

Yeah I was down bad in that world of resentful nihilistic thinking for years, and I always used it to justify my addiction. Lived my life completely like a victim. If you ever get the chance and actually want to feel better about things, I really reccomend reading Jordan Peterson's 12 rules for like book, probably played the single biggest role in turning my mindset around. If ya ever wanna talk about it more I'm around, good luck man.

I'll definitely check it out, thanks. Nothing bad going on, just the same ol day in and day out, never a break... appreciate the offer though

Congratulations on getting clean, and staying sober! I'm 6 years clean and I still get the stupid drug dreams, but as long as you have a good support system and people around who will listen , you'll do amazing. Like I'm sure you will!

Thanks man and you too, helped a lot to take responsibility and find more meaning in my life. God it still kills me how much I used to just roll around in that victim mindset, like bruh no wonder I couldn't ever be clean and happy at the same time living like that.

Good for you, many would find all of that quite challenging to recover from in a positive way. Happiness is a product of two things, your perspective and your genetics, contrary to what we're offten told you choose neither of those things. You see what you see and believe what you believe with everything you're given, and your mind is either built to handle that, or it isn't.

This isn't true. You can shift your perspective. It takes time and effort but it is possible. Humans are always capable of change... most people just want to believe they're not. And yes, it can be harder for some because of genetics and trauma. But happiness is 100% a choice!

>But happiness is 100% a choice! Tell that to clinical depression

\>I make enough to be happy now I assume you're talking about your earnings. Is it hard to get a job after jail? Do you need to tell why did you stay in prison? Good luck :)

Nah they didn't ask, so I didn't bring it up. Just an office intern job tho so it's not like I'm in a government clearance scenario.
