Yeah, idk. Have you seen what humans do to any animal that affects human progress in any way, let alone actually attacks humans?

@dogegobrrt Yeah, idk. Have you seen what humans do to any animal that affects human progress in any way, let alone actually...

Polar bears are famous for actively hunting humans, yet we worry about destroying their habitat.

Thats because they were just too far north and have been relatively excluded from humanity and now we think about things differently, but we've hunted things just as bad as polar bears to extinction in the past, just because they were living a little bit too much towards the south.

This might be changing. Orcas are starting to attack whaling ships and that is spreading as a taught/learned behavior across pods.

Can't say I blame the orcas.

Whaling ships makes sense.

I love that they're going after large yachts. If you ask me, it's proof that whales have a moral code that believes wealth should not be hoarded by a minority. Godspeed comrades!

Orcas are lucky they don't taste good or else there probably wouldn't be any left

Other way around. If Orcas were known predators to humans we probably would've hunted them to near extinction decades ago.

I also saw the video of the woman swimming in the ocean with the orcas.

nah, they are lucky they're not eating us.

would've been extinct by now

Actually orcas are lucky that orcas aren't interested in eating humans. And even luckier humans aren't interested in eating orcas.

Up to 150 years ago we were very lucky they don't attack humans. Now, they are lucky that they don't attack humans. Look at what we do to the shark population mostly because they have been villanized.

Why? If orcas tried to prey on humans all the time they would be extinct.

No witnesses to an orca attack.

Either they don't attack, or are extremely efficient when they do.

They're lucky that we think they look cool and interesting. Our ancestors would have no issues extincting them.

A few of us maybe, but if there weren't laws to prevent it humans would slaughter damned near every predator bigger than an housecat into extinction. Orcas wouldn't stand a chance.
