I'd call myself an optimistic nihilist - I believe that there is no higher meaning to or purpose in life, and I find that liberating and exciting!
Obviously not everyone holds that same belief, but here's how I think about it: life isn't inherently meaningful, but we create meaning on an individual/societal level. So sure, when you zoom way out, maybe it's all meaningless. But there are certainly things that are meaningful within our overall meaningless lives. And it's okay if dreams are/aren't meaningful to you - you get to decide that for yourself, and that's great!
Congrats! :] That's very admirable. I know how hard it can be to break those habbits. Wild that your dreams haven't returned, I was dreaming like crazy after a month or two.

People say we all dream, but I never recall any. I get the meaningless life without the free abstract TV at night
The meaning is what you put into it :] Just like the dreams.
I quit smoking pot for a month or so last summer, and sober people really do dream like crazy. I've also heard that booze can stifle dreaming.
I've been sober for 12 years, from everything
