+164 Clubbing is really boring, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

most popular 25+ take of all time that being said, when I did drugs I would go to the club just to dance and it was a great time. I don't do drugs anymore.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If I really like the music, like it's my fav artist. All i need is water.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Because of all the molly you did?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Nah then u go gatorade. Water for a wholesome good time

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I can go to clubs sober but I also listen to a lot of dj mixes on YouTube so I know which djs play what I like and go see them when they visit near me. Idk what it is but even hearing a dj spin like 4 tracks at once and hitting crazy transitions gives me goosebumps. I saw guy gerber in Ibiza during a sunset set and that was the last set I saw sober and it was divine.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Personally I really like the wildlife, the nature of it. Plus its a pretty easy job, baby seals aren't that fast. But its not for everyone.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

>its not for everyone. Tried but it gave me a splitting headache

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You hit the seal, doofus.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yea they aren't. Just gotta watch our for the mommas

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I like clubbing, but I also just like to dance. If you don't like dancing, you won't like clubbing. I don't go to talk, but I will dance at a club sober or drunk.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I also like to dance and I don't drink or do drugs. In fact, the older I get, the more I enjoy dancing, because the less I care how it looks. I would like the volume to be kept within volume that doesn't do permanent damage!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This is an extremely popular opinion.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The people that enjoy clubs are there for the music and to dance not to socialize in my opinion. It's kinda like being mad you can't talk at a movie theatre. When vibing you can find others that vibe, no words needed just dancing next to each other. Feeling the bass vibrate your ribs. Look up local artists on Spotify and treat it like a show rather than a restaurant type experience.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's a perfect and ironic system. People go with ulterior motives and find the "means to an end" (the experience itself) so intolerable that their nasty vibes drag the room down—they stand around wishing they were anywhere else and leave empty handed and bitter. The ones who go without ulterior motives (in other words….people who want to dance to some music through a nice soundsystem) have good energy the whole night and tend to have better social outcomes. I wish the ‘hookup' reputation would just go away so the music lovers could enjoy themselves in peace. Probably a bad deal for venues and bartenders, but hey.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I dunno, it's just a type of social activity. Its almost entirely depends on why you are there in the first place and who you are clubbing with. If I go there with a bunch of good friends to get drunk and dance, that's exactly what I'd get and I will have fun doing that. Feels like people who hates clubbing were expecting to get something else out of it rather than... just socialise in a place with alcohol and loud music.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Dancing to dance music on a dance floor with girls who like dancing is super fun. If you like dancing. BTW - Dancing is foreplay.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Awkward at weddings when your Mum asks you to dance.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

My mom has never asked me to dance. Apparently I'm not her type.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

She ask me to dance. Sorry son.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah I love to go out and dance in a place with good vibes and music, that's why I go. If I wasn't into music or dancing, clubbing would be boring. Also earplugs exists and I got them for clubs and concerts

by Anonymous 1 year ago

> BTW - Dancing is foreplay. Well that explains a lot.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Now that you know, you can't unsee it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Some people also just like dancing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Most people really enjoy foreplay

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Clubbing is very boring if you're munted (source: am munted)

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What's 'munted'?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Slang for "ugly"

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No that's a munter. Munted means you're blarted.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah I know that munted means the same as smashed or wankered, but it can definitely also mean having a face like a dog's arse

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Munted means frelled with a lomy side of a pronche.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Oh boy.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I just really like to dance. Hanging out with friends and meeting random people is also fun. Never really try to get laid in a club though, i dont enjoy that stress. For me it really depends on the club and the music. If they only play bad mixes of pop music then i just leave. But if the dj is good a party can be amazing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Tha clubs you visited sound rly boring thats true.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah. If I hear the same music in a club that's on the radio I'd just walk out.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

And if the sound is bad and overpowered i do the same. The only reason for me to go clubbing was sound that make me goosebumps.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Its there for the drugs, yeah. You could do drugs alone in your room, but its more fun with le funni lights and colors and music Also people go trying to get laid.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

maybe 10 percent of clubbers actually want to be there most are there to find a mate.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

And most of those will fail lol

by Anonymous 1 year ago

♪The club isn't the best place to find a lover so the bar is where I go♪

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah I wanna know which bar he goes to where they play Van Mo and the girls are into dudes that look like Ed Sheeran.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It helps to have Ed Sheeran money

by Anonymous 1 year ago

How the hell do people meet people at clubs though? You can't even talk to anyone over the noise

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If I recall properly it was dancing with some girl, then hands go on her hips, then just start getting off

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Uh oh....i am Not an expert but that does sound like the correct order so thats how it must Go...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

from my expirience most guys just harass alot of girls until they meet one that doesn't care lol.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Sadly that's pretty much exactly how it works.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

With very little talking

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's exactly like Tinder: they judge you solely by your looks. What you're going to say is irrelevant, because they've already made their decision beforehand.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's not the talking that they're looking for

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You need to pick clubs based on liking the type of music they play. I hear this opinion all the time and it's always people who aren't into the kind of music they hear when they go out. Plenty people enjoy clubbing sober if they like the music and enjoy dancing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This is a very popular opinion. That said, from your description I'd also say you need to go to better clubs.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It's because you're sober

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I reckon that's the reason. Only went clubbing once and immediately regretted going in sober. You have to be intoxicated to enjoy that type of environment.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If you enjoy the music and enjoy dancing you really don't need drugs or alcohol to enjoy a club. It's definitely not for everyone, but for some it's an amazing vibe.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think it's much more common to not like clubbing. Of all people i know only a very select few like clubbing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What do you mean? You get to drink and bring home a hot chick after dancing to dubstep….Is what I've been told at least.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I like dancing, I've gone sober if I like the band or dj but clubbing to socialize is very boring snd the main activity is drinking which I also find really boring in my middle age I like pubbing though because you can have conversations and eat food, there's more to do than just drink.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Nightclubs are about the people you go with like anything , but also about the people you meet , they are pretty boring if your sober , but it depends da on if your an extrovert or not tbh, plus most people that have these opinions are unattractive

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Canadian fishermen beg to differ.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I didn't drink in all my 20s or did drugs. Clubbed at least twice a week, sober, for a large portion of it while going to uni. Some people like to dance and make friends. (if you go that much, you make a lot of friends) other people pretend to enjoy it because they either got dragged (not their scene) or are only there to pickup a one night stand (odds are extremely low) Most drink, a few get blackout drunk and you'd be surprised how many sober people are there.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

If you don't dance it's boring, but if you enjoy dancing, you like it. What's the point in going and sitting on your arse?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

As I got older, fatter and less attractive clubbing also became less entertaining. Coincidence? Yeah, just a coincidence.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You don't go to a club so socialize and sit around. You go to a club to dance, party, let lose and shake it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I hated clubbing when i was of age to do it.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Been clubbing sober it's fun af. I'm 37 and love clubbing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I bloody love clubbing. Always have! Think I always will. Started raving when I was 17. Am a 43 year old mama now so going out is rare. But I still like to hit a club when I can.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Boring is relative. For many people the club gives all the stimulation they crave. Lights, music, drugs, attraction, reduced inhibitions. It's a sensory overload, it's about the feeling. You don't have to speak a word to anyone and still be a part of what's happening and what is happening is stimulating all of your senses at once.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That's why you don't do it sober... I will say that raves are 10x as fun though.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I love clubbing! … Sometimes. Okay, honestly I agree, haha. I think most times I had a lot of fun clubbing I was way too drunk to know what song was even playing. There is something really relaxing about dancing in the dark with blaring music though, but most of the time the other club goers kind of ruin it for me (either they're handsy, bump way too hard into you, or they might puke on you). Have yet to go to a club that doesn't smell like death when it has a full floor.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm sober, don't drink, but I like the occasional club with the right friends! Key word! I'm also latin, so we ACTUALLY dance, not just jumping up and down or a little twerk.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Not unpopular at all

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I also dislike clubs but love rock/metal bars that blast their music. It's all about the music being played for me.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

i never understood clubbing. pay way too much for drinks and i dont know how to dance to trance music. crowded. your local bar is the way to go

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Did the club not have a bike rack for you?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Dancing at clubs are some of the best times I've ever had. It's like a kind of ancient ritual.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

i think its fun if it wasnt so expensive and for no reason

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Agree with you, tho I found techno clubs and instantly fell in love, so it's about finding your thing

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It really depends on what you're clubbing. Baby seals is so yesterday.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I used to go clubbing sober :) I don't like alcohol and I love dancing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I know a few people who regularly go to nightclubs sober, I didn't drink when I was in my early twenties and I was out two or three times a week. I know most people don't like clubs sober but there is a few of us that just like to vibe and the music and to get on the dance floor

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I love dancing but I hâte crowds and when I go out with people I wanna chat the whole time. Clubs just aren't for me.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Go to any Latino club and you'll be blown away. It's so much fun. You can find anybody above 18 there, even older people go to dance and drink.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

In all agreement friend! My wife and I had to quit going to live events 40 years ago because it was too damned loud. Good music doesn't have to be painful. There have been lots acts we would have gone to see but having to wear earplugs is stupid to pay money for.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

>just see if you can get anyone to do it sober. You can't. Because it's so boring This is 90% of social events. They are all boring sober, clubbing is nothing special. People like it because it's designed to be fun... on MDMA lol. So if you are gonna go clubbing...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Clubbing was one of the worst activities as a male college student. Now? Not going to happen.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Yeah I've never enjoyed going to clubs at all, personally not even a fan of concerts a lot of the time despite having seen many.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

its not boring for me i just have to do it drunk . i would rather just stay home in my comfy clothes and not have to deal with drunk people

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I never understood clubs, it's all too much, too loud, can't focus, can't hear anyone, just a complete draw out of senses…. Come to realize later that I have ocd and clubs trigger it so bad.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Or maybe you're just a buzzkill?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I grew up in the rave scene, I still love and listen to drum and bass. That being said I'll go to a show here and there but I'm only going to dance (and I haven't had time in a few years cuz well… I'm an adult and I'm busy with normal life). I don't do drugs anymore and that's clearly why so many people are there.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think this is probably a popular opinion given that most people don't go clubbing.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Clubbing is so pointless. Loud music, you can't hear anyone and socialize without saying "huh?" every 2 seconds.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Bro never been to the club with a girl

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The biggest rules for having fun when clubbing are either #1 be super hot or #2 be on drugs.
