+169 Judging women on their sexual performance too early on is a recipe for disaster, amirite?

Now replace "women" with "people". There is much more pressure to perform on men as there is on women.

Definitely unpopular. So many women leave guys with erectile dysfunction at the drop of a hat. Logically this must mean that love dies near the age of 25-50+ for many men.

This is the attitude that makes me only want to have sex with someone I'm in a relationship with. There's no point if you don't like/trust the other person.

It almost sounds as if you're saying that people should establish relationships with each other before having sex. Maybe viewing your participation in sex as a performance is the wrong tactic, and it's not necessary to be an acrobat or something with someone who is happy to be with you.

Establishing a relationship before sex won't do anything to allow the couple to learn about eachother sexually and eachothers natural rythm and how they intuitively move and behave durring sex. I agree though, sex is not about how we perform. It is about experiencing pleasure and giving pleasure and enjoying intimacy together. . It should be a genuine shared experience not a performance.

OP wrote: >Sometimes it takes getting to know someone from the inside first to make the woman be more open with her body. I'm saying that knowing someone and being comfortable with them is going to alleviate some of the issues. People are always going to be a little nervous with someone at first, but if you're already involved with them in an emotionally intimate way it's easier to become physically intimate with them.

Ahh yes, I agree.

If you don't know the person all that well, maybe you shouldn't have sex with them.
