+147 Having Monday off is better than having Friday off, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Weekends mean nothing when your normal days off are Monday and tuesday, just another day of the week.

I'm not alone.....

Having Monday off is an extended weekend; having Friday off is an early weekend. I prefer having Fridays off for religious reasons, as I am a Muslim and I am expected to go for Friday sermons. *I am so looking forward to retirement!*

With a Monday off I cant shake the feeling that by 2pm there isnt much of a difference so it dampens the whole day. Much rather prefer a Friday off since those feelings never happen.

The best thing about Monday's off is enjoying Sunday night.

Unpopular: having Wednesday is the best. Only have 2 consecutive days with a short weekend in between. Tuesday becomes like a Friday.

I'm off on Tuesdays and Wednesday's so Monday is my Friday. Also the whole "I hate Monday's" trope feels played out. I have friends that still complain about Monday's unironically and it feels dated for some reason. Not sure why. Maybe because I've never really worked a Mon-Fri 9 to 5 type job so specific days don't have any specific meaning to me.

Monday sucks, I work M-F 9-5. It's the day I get the most emails, meetings, and then I have a whole week ahead of me. Monday off is a blessing from the lord

I work in IT and Mondays are always busy. All the problems that happened at the weekend are waiting for you on Monday morning.

I'd prefer working on Friday. Less traffic to deal with, less people in the office, less drama.

My job is closed on Mondays

A Friday off means a nice 3 day recovery and stress free weekend A Monday off means work Tuesday

I've worked Mon -Thurs for five years and i can tell you that i look at Friday as an extra Saturday. When i have Mondays off i look at them as an extra Sunday. Fridays off > Mondays off

Well, I don't know about you, but my Monday hangovers are usually pretty severe. Maybe it's just me...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

All the more reason to have it off!

This is more personal preference and less unpopular opinion

Well, if you have Monday off, then Sunday becomes your Friday night. And who doesn't love a Sunday Funday? Plus, it's like getting a second Sunday. Double the relaxation, double the laziness.

I have Monday and Friday off, and it's superior. I never have to work more than 3 days in a row.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

everyone takes Friday and Monday off anyway during the summer

by Anonymous 1 year ago

True unpopular opinion, work Friday and Monday but take Wednesday off

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Wednesday off do you instead have two short two day weeks is supreme.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Now that's just inconvenient

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Imo, it's not. Biggest benefit is you're at most one day away from a "Friday". Sure you don't get a long weekend every week, but most people don't really consistently make use of a long weekend in a way that a day off any other day in the week wouldn't work. Always being so close to a day off is amazing, IMO.

Sorry, can't relate. As a comedian, every day feels like the weekend and every night feels like Monday morning.

This is very true had a friend who insisted on working Fridays, because most people chill on Fridays and Mondays are CF. More people die of heart attacks on MOndays too.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Well, I don't know about you, but Mondays are the days I usually fake a cough and call in sick. So having it off sounds like a dream come true!

As a chef getting a Friday off is truly impressive so idk depends on the job really
