CCR is the best American rock band. amirite?

I feel superior for being able to enjoy many bands and artists without feeling the need to make a competition out of them. Music is not a sport, people.

Anything but their popular songs suck. They have about 5 good songs and that's it. Definitely a greatest hits band for me, not a sit down and listen to a whole album band.

I feel like they're kind of a samey-sounding band. As in, you listen to 2-3 songs of theirs, you've essentially heard all of them. Aerosmith is the same way. I had the album with the cow, and frankly every other Aerosmith song I've ever heard, I have to double-check to see if it was on that album or not.

I also kind of find it hilarious that they have songs like 'born on the bayou' and they're from the El Cerrito CA. Also OP, you didn't really give any sort of argument to back up your opinion. Or was that it?

All their songs sound exactly the same. If I was going to say a band from that Era I would say Three Dog Night
