It seems kind of childish to intentionally give a bad rating because of a survey.
They aren't as bad as time share presentations.

Maybe it also seems a little needy of these companies to ask us over and over again.

For giant corps like Walmart or Amazon, yes there isn't t a lot they're willing to change. Unless you write something really impressive I doubt it will do anything.
Restaurants though are different, especially for waitresses, waiters, and hosts. I worked as a delivery driver and a returned survey always helped me and the rest of the staff learn how to improve.

I'm not talking to restaurants. I don't fill those out anyway, I'm referring to bigger places like at&t

Oh, I feel you! Surveys are like those annoying neighbors who always ask for sugar. Just let us live, survey people!

Hey, buddy! You know what they say - Survey says... annoying! I feel you, surveys are like those clingy exes who just won't leave you alone. Time to give 'em bad ratings and show 'em who's boss!

Well, surveys are the only way companies can confirm that their customers still exist in this crazy world! Can't blame 'em for trying!
