+130 People imagine the prehistoric age in color but the 1900's in black and white even though the latter came before, amirite?

I don't imagine the 1900s in black and white.

Colour went out of style for a couple hundred thousand years. You know how fickle these things are

The latter is the second part. So you are saying the 1900 came first.

Dammit I spent like 6 hours thinking if it was latter or former

Google is your friend.

Latter is like "later" and former is close to "before". That was my trick before the words stuck.

Wait, you don't see prehistory as cave wall drawings?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

No but imagine pictures of dinosaurs or search it up on the internet and they'll mostly be in color

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Drawings of things in 1900 are also in color.

Makes sense. We only have portraits, paintings, drawings of the prehistoric age, which are mostly in color. In the 1900s, photography was booming but wasn't usually in color yet. So there you have it.

People do NOT imagine 1900's. We have black and white photos and videos. People imagine prehistoric time and there is no point to imagine in black and white.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Sure, but if I told you to close your eyes and imagine the year 1900, whatever your brain comes up with would probably default to black and white, even if you aren't remembering a specific photo or video you've seen

I was there. The world was black and white until about 1967.

people dream about what is present in their lives, people in ancient rome wouldn't have dreamt of coding a game like some people do now, likewise, people wouldnt dream in black and white if black and white tv had not existed
