Sure they're not that bad, but if I can avoid it I will. I'd much rather sleep till 9 and push that 8am class to 1pm if that's an option.

Kids that go right to college at 18 without having ever really grinding it out at a job (not one doing something easy for a family member) are usually pretty out of touch with reality. Bonus points if they don't work at all doing college and go right into some kind of HR-type nonspecific ‘business' job at 23.

I didn't finish college but I went long enough to learn that I hated 8:00 classes least, and my hate would increase as the day went on. The worst semester of my life I started at 11:00 and finished at 4:00 in the afternoon. Very depressing

I've has semesters where I had 8 am and 10 am classes to start my day. Life is so much easier if you have an extra hour or 2 in the morning

Idk where you're getting all this info about "typical" 8am classes but it entirely contradicts my personal experience. I think it's safe to say that the only commonality between 8 am classes are that they all start at 8 am and that sucks. That being said I didn't mind them because they made sure my day started early and that meant that I had a fuller and more productive day.

i havent slept before 12 am regularly since i was in middle school. i hated 8 am classes for that reason. there was no chance i was getting 8 hours of sleep. im just productive at night when eveyrone is quiet.

8 AM's were mostly annoying for me because I didn't live on campus. Really annoyed me when people who could stroll out of their dorm at 7:55 complained while I had to leave the house at 6:30 to catch the bus. When I was taking courses online during the pandemic, 8 AM wasn't that bad.

Depends, is your roommate getting raw naked balled by a hot chick, that you have to hide your wank while he comes in her?
