I think you've just got terrible pillows. Mine are soft and wonderful and are the cosiest thing on the planet, bar my bed.

You want variety, but my mains ones are the same materials as the one I sleep with, then you need one or two firmer ones for sitting up. Not sure why op think sofa pillow have to be different then the ones on their bed.

This is so true lol. I only recently managed to find a nice lumbar couch pillow that works perfect for sitting in the lazy section of the sectional. So much better compared to the huge useless pillows

I have had this argument with my wife hahah, Our couch isn't the biggest but my wife tries her best to make the house look nice so she believes we NEED couch pillows, even tho the couch pillows are taking up 90% of what little couch we have, and she gets sad when I sit in the pillows so i end up just putting them on the floor when I sit there anyways.

Yes, they suck. Also, a throw or a blanket/cover of some kind drives me mental. Slipping and sliding.

I also don't like doing the blanket cover for couches….but I have cats and I don't like when they craft h my furniture :(

I think the problem is the depth of the couch I've been on some couches that are deep and pillows are great on them but some couches are barely big enough to just sit on and then they have tons of pillows kts a nightmare

Any time i have a reason to move from my bed to the couch to sleep, i bring my pillow from my bed. Couch pillows are not for sleeping.

Are you sure? Man, one flat ass old fart filled couch pillow makes the perfect head pillow on impromptu naps on said nasty couch. Bad texture, too flat, smells bad? If I am tired enough to put my face on it to nap, it is perfect.

At one time early I'm my relationship, my girlfriend insisted that the bed needed a ton of "cute" pillows on the bed, when I say a ton I mean they went from the wall to the foot of the bed that all had to be moved around daily, it was insanity to me. Different but similar

I have a massive U sectional in the living room, can fit 2 adults and 2 teenagers laying down. I could never imagine a world where 1 pillow is ever ok. This is definitely an unpopular and wrong opinion. I imagine your world view is strictly a 3 cushion small couch and that's it period. I guess you don't like laying down while watching tv. Just upright positions only lol

Agreed. My wife has literally 8 pillows on our sofa and most have to be moved to even sit down. I passive-aggressively toss them onto my wife's recliner but the kids choose violence and just chuck 'em on the floor, step on them, let the dogs nest on them.

At 5'1" couch pillows are essential to help me keep forward so my feet aren't left swinging. Not for decorative purposes.
