Depends on if they actually end up adapting the manga or let it end halfway like the original, or go for an original ending. I would think its more of a case more similar to FMA Brotherhood, depending on how things work out.

Actually there is. It's called "Rurouni Kenshin Meiji Kenkaku Romantan." Started airing a couple of weeks ago.
