+160 Chances are, our ancestors have at least once murdered someone, amirite?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Can't murder someone twice.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That's so funny

by Anonymous 1 year ago

They can, but only if two or more ancestors murdered someone together- like Julius Cesar. If their descendants make more murder-hobos, it means they killed Cesar twice. Or maybe it's more like I Half murdered Julius but twice.

Tell that to Kenny.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to meet OP's metric.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

How much time does it need to be in order to be considered an ‘ancestor' 🤔

by Anonymous 1 year ago

See that's the point. Since they first became human I think!

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think they're hinting the other way, like is my dad my ancestor?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Probably great great great grandparents+

by Anonymous 1 year ago

The answer to that is "yes".

I had an ancestor transported to Australia for shooting landlords out of season...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I wanna buy him a drink.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

When is landlord season?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

When is the lease up?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Collectively all of our ancestors murdered at least one person, I'd say true though an understatement

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Well, I suppose I'm an ancestor to my childfen

Apparently I have a great great uncle who killed the man who was engaged in an affair with his wife. The story goes they were married, he found out she was cheating, they got divorced, then his ex-wife went on to marry the other guy. On their wedding day my uncle went to the church and shot the guy with a hunting rifle.

Living things hunt , forage and consume other living things. Murdering people for malice, revenge or sport is catalog to human nature for any shameful past . However, people are consumers as we carry viruses and bacteria that consume us.

Literally why I have not done a deep dive into my heraldry -- 1350 in the Holy Roman Empire… Nope

I know for a fact my Great Great Great Grandfather killed at least 6 people that broke into his house while he was a police officer in Dallas in the 40's. I'm not sure what his position in the force was but I do know the last two people to break into his house he killed one with a shingle shot shotgun and the other he killed with an ice pick because he couldn't get the gun reloaded. More self-defense than murder I guess but still.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Not chances. They actually murdered a lot of people. Mostly invaders, invading our country and my ancestors were mostly in army or kings

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Especially since they survived to give us birth until now

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Oh I know he did. He murdered at least one English noble who was trying to take his land.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What do you mean "at least"?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I think a better way to phrase that was "at least one of our ancestors has murdered someone"

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I have this uncle who was rejected from art school... You know what, nvm

by Anonymous 1 year ago

That wouldn't be very surprising, I just assume that my grandparents or great grandparents got a few kills at least, because of the two world wars

by Anonymous 1 year ago

My grandpa fought in WW2. I know he more than most likely killed a few guys

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Some of us know they have. With a hammer. In a remote northern Michigan town. Not sure the year off hand but I know he was a first generation American from the Austria-Hungary region. Kudos if someone can name him.
