It's not weird for an adult to have braces, amirite?
by Anonymous1 year ago
Who says it's weird?

Nobody. There's few things better than seeing a long-time friend smile after a stint with braces!

I've never heard anyone say it's weird

I'd say it's "weird" in a sense that not many adults have them but it's not something that should be pointed out and made fun of especially since it's something that they are doing to better themselves
by Anonymous1 year ago
Honestly I wouldn't call it weird though because it means something is strange. Maybe not so common but not weird tbh.

Yeah honestly, if you make fun of an adult for having braces, then you're kind of an asshole 😄
by Anonymous1 year ago
Is this unpopular? Lol

I've never heard a mature adult fault another for prioritizing dental health
by Anonymous1 year ago
Never got why they tried to ease the sting of embarrassment by calling them "adult braces" or "adult diapers"

Me, an actual adult with braces: oh people call me weird? I didn't notice before huh...
by Anonymous1 year ago
statistically braces are applied way more often to younger children than to grown adults.
hence, it is "weird" for an adult to have braces.

I will tell you what is weird: that these important medical services are covered for every single citizen .
I mean I live in the wealthiest nation in the history of humanity and we don't even cover basic health insurance, let alone dental.

In my country health insurance is sort of free if you have a lower income because you get money to pay for it, and most basic things are covered, but not dental things.. even though teeth are pretty important.

It's weird in the sense it's so rare it's virtually 0% of people. I've yet to see any adult have them.
I don't think less of people for having them. I keep conscidering them myself. But it's still weird just because it's not normal.
