I would do this but I have a very small yard with a very big tree which drops millions of teeny tiny leaves. I tried mulching once and I quickly realized that I was going to end up with an inch and a half of leaf dust on my tiny yard. So into the leaf bags they went. (Using the mower bag of course)

Sometimes you get leaves with sticks with big trees. A mess of little ones and some thick ones and how nice is your mower to double as a wood chipper. Edges of things also exist, saw between houses and bushes. Many leaf blowers these days double as sucker that mulch it the same. Mower isn't getting in some of those places.

As long as you don't use a very unnecessarily loud and polluting gas powered blower I could care less as it's none of my business.
