+166 Your friends enemies are not your enemies. amirite?

I'm just happy that since being like 18, I've never had to deal with this type of stupid drama because none of my friends have this stupid drama either lol

by Anonymous 1 year ago

So happy for you in all sincerity. It's so strange when adults act like this.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

standing up for your friends is the most basic thing, children learn that in elementary school - the kicker is you need to have true friends for that

What adults still use the term 'enemies' outside of armed conflicts?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

You'd be surprised.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I would be. In what context are you hearing these people say that so frequently? What did the other person do?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Honestly, it's mainly women friends who use this term. And it's all petty tiffs to where they shun other people by making the scenario seem bigger than it really is and thus convince other friends to not befriend someone they don't get along with. Like I said, it's all stupid.

I think it depends on the seriousness of the offense; was it something petty like them wearing the same dress to a fancy event or the offender banging someone else's husband? The former, I agree, sounds silly. The latter...

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I do agree with you on the specifics. This is more of a blindly disliking someone just because your good friend dislikes them. (No matter the offense, big or small).

You are hanging out with the wrong people and maybe are on the younger side of adult?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Haha! Don't I wish that was the case (as far as being on the younger side). These type of people are definitely small minded but not young.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Depends on why the conflict exists tho. If it's plain incompatibility then your point stands. But if the other person has actually wronged my friend why would I want to associate with them?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I agree on the severity. I guess I should have specified.. however some people feel "wronged" for the smallest things ever.

by Anonymous 1 year ago

I lost two friends because I played a video game with one of their "enemies". Really sad how some ppl are

by Anonymous 1 year ago

This is excellent advice.

Honestly a wise man or girl if you understand this

by Anonymous 1 year ago

when i see a friend hates someone i dont hate him too

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Honestly it depends on the situation For instance you are friends with person A and person B peed all over person A and now hates them. I'm like 99% sure your not gonna wanna be friends with person B

by Anonymous 1 year ago

What if they had a jellyfish sting or were cold?

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Like i said it honestly depends on the situation

by Anonymous 1 year ago

As a wise man once said: "I have no enemies."

by Anonymous 1 year ago

Why do so many of your friends have enemies for silly reasons? When my mates have a legit enemy it's generally for a serious reason like "that's my abusive ex" or "that guy keeps calling me slurs."

by Anonymous 1 year ago

It depends entirely on what that person has done. There are people who I will never give the time of day to for how poorly they treated a friend of mine. But there are people they dont like who I do, theres a difference
