+145 Being a monogamous man is an incomplete and possibly misleading determinant of character. amirite?

You talk with a lot of conviction for a completely anecdotal argument. It's very hard to take someone seriously when they say, "I'm sure they exist", as if to say it still seems improbable but not ***impossible*** that there's a single good married man out there. It leads us to believe you've still never seen a single example for yourself. If you've never seen a single admirable married man then you're walking through life with blinders on.

It really doesn't matter how society perceives a person. You can be perceived as a asshole, yet volunteer at a children's hospital every weekend. Or you can be perceived as a great person but drive around and kill hookers on the weekends.

I haven't seen divorced dads who re-partner automatically perceived as bad. My best friend and spouse have an open non monogamous relationship and are some of the best people I know. And have a great relationship. One of them especially is universally seen as a kind good person. They are gay men. Are you only talking about hetero men and monogamy?

How is it "kind, honest" and "treating people fairly" to be off cheating on your wife, thus depriving her of sexual activity and family time (unless she is also cheating). If you are "kind and honest" and want to have sex with someone other than your wife, the only way to go is to have some form of open marriage, which also allows your wife to seek sexual satisfaction. Or, are you one of those guys who think women don't care about sex - or maybe only bad women care about sex? I do agree that just being monogamous does not automatically make you moral. Of course, not committing one sin is no indication that you are not committing others. That's true for any sin. Just because someone doesn't commit murder doesn't mean they don't steal.

Since the development of sentience the ability to pass on data to help ensure survival has not needed to be primarily biological.

I don't really get how this is relevant. Can you elaborate on this?

Lol Yes! And while you're at it, cut back to one Starbucks a day. No one needs two coffees every morning. You are free to donate those savings to the charity of my choice.
