I'm fairly sure this isn't the case, I'm sure I've read there's more living people than dead people, since our population has just exponentially grown over the last 200 years. I guess it depends on how evolutionarily far back you go in the 'human' bit.

That is wildly untrue lol. A decent percentage of all humans to ever exist are alive right now, but like, nowhere even close to be over 50%
