Who says customer service is something everyone should do at least once?

I'm pretty sure that, when people say this, it's so that the customers who berate and yell at them might understand they should be nicer. It turned you cynical, but maybe it didn't have to if people would just be a little nicer. Dunno. I just know I am never working in customer service ever again.
