Maybe get to the field a little earlier to get seats. I have no problem if a family (grandparents included) want to come see the kids play. But if you show up close to game time (excluding outside factors that prevent you arriving earlier), you can't really complain too much if there is not much seating left. When my kid was on his base ball team, I stood closer to the fence instead of sitting on those uncomfortable ass metal bleachers.

I have never once seen the stands filled to capacity for a kids sporting event, let alone practice.
