I don't think Anne Frank is only famous because she just wrote a diary. There's plenty of other Jewish diaries from teens during the Holocaust. Anne Frank's writing is really, really good. It's good to the point where conspiracy wackos believe it was written by a professional writer. I think the only people that truly understand this are teachers because they have to read the crap that teenagers normally write on a regular basis. Had she survived and become a professional writer I think she would have been pretty well known. Probably not nearly as famous, but still known.

I mean, yea? It's from the perspective of a young person still navigating through early teens, which is already extremely challenging, but also having to hide for your life. Her unique perspective is 100% what makes it famous
