Gosh you reminded me. I don't even know how it started but once a year in about -40C weather my sister and I would run for ice cream cause we just wanted it. I think one day we hit a special where it was for $1 no matter the size of cone. Good times.

I'm kinda in the popular crowd. We tend to eschew ice cream and sushi in the coldest winter months so it's a nice treat when warmer months come. For me winter is about hot foods, soups and baked goods 😆

I only crave it when its cold. No idea why. But yeah on a hot summer day I'd rather have something else otherwise it makes me feel dehydrated and lethargic.

I can't agree. For starters, my ice-cream does not last long enough to start melting in my hand. I was on vacation a few weeks ago and it was pretty hot out. All I wanted was an ice cream cone and it definitely hit the spot.

Yup. The milk and cream in it makes me dehydrated, so it doen't appeal on a super hot summer day.

I don't know about better, but Ice cream is always nice. I think most people prefer not holding something cold while their hands are already cold. So kudos for the unpopular opinion that's actually an opinion.
